About Us
Nueva is a celebration of flavour, memory and the quiet art of cooking that is passed down through generations.
In every kitchen, certain aromas feel timeless. Spices roasting slowly, recipes prepared without measurements, and the meals that carry the warmth of the people who taught us how to cook. These moments rarely make it into written recipes, yet they shape the way we experience food for the rest of our lives.
Nueva was created to preserve that feeling.
In a time where convenience often replaces craft, many masalas have moved further away from the depth and balance that define true home cooking. Nueva exists to bring that authenticity back by honouring traditional recipes by carefully selecting ingredients and blending them with the same patience and attention that exists in family kitchens. Each masala is designed not only to season food but to recreate the richness of flavours that feel familiar, comforting and deeply rooted in memory.
At the heart of the Nueva are three women from the same family, each representing a different generation of culinary knowledge.
The story begins with a grandmother whose understanding of spices was guided entirely by instinct. Her masalas were never written down, they were learned through years of cooking, observing, tasting and adjusting until every dish carried the perfect and beautiful balance of flavour.
The next generation grew up in that kitchen absorbing these recipes and traditions naturally ensuring they were preserved and carried forward.
For decades, these masalas lived quietly within our family kitchen, shaping countless meals and memories alike. Over time it became evident that these masalas deserved to live beyond the family kitchen. The idea emerged to preserve them and share their depth of flavour with a wider audience. From that thought, Nueva began to take shape.
Nueva was born from the realisation that the most meaningful food traditions are worth preserving and sharing.
Recipes we grew up with, made for today’s kitchen.
